Phantom 3 - 3 Port Battery + Remote Charger

Im going to buy a inverter DC 12V to 220V of 600wts....to use on my car...

Any advice against?

Lots of Ham's use these for rigs more expensive than the P3 maybe not the150w but similar.. You should be good to go...
My Work gave me this one to use on a very expensive handheld terminal for charging, I tried it in the field 2 week ends ago and it worked fine, I had gone through one battery and had 3 left so while I was scouting I put it on the charger, I used up one and a half of the other batteries and it was ready. It got warm but not the battery.
It was free... a 600watt will work fine for you! geta two outlet or more for sure.

I suspect he was asking about helistar, not rcdepot. Khador, I'll let you know my experience in a week or so, but I believe helistar is a chinese manufacturer of various rc parts (perhaps including this charger for dji). I believe my order will ship directly from HK. We'll see.
I ordered at 10p eastern Monday night with express shipping - got a notice this evening from DHL that it is through customs and should be delivered tomorrow. If so, wow.

I use a Xantrex true sine wave inverter multiple times per week to power $20-30,000 RF communication analyzes, never an issue (well, sometimes with grounding). I have a cheap DC-DC "booster" on order from eBay China. Should be here any day (hopefully). Hoping to build it into an enclosure with I/O volt/ammeters and a cig plug (single battery charging). I'll post I do whenever I get to it.

I ordered from Heli Star on Aug 3 with expedited shipping (about $75 total) and received a text message today alerting me to my delivery tomorrow Aug 6. That's really fast. I'll post pics. and impressions when the charger arrives.

Mine, in fact, arrived today. Great job by both Heli-star and DHL! It was well packed in a properly sized box that was wrapped quite substantially in bubble-wrap, completely taped, and inserted into a DHL bubble pak. Nasty storm out right now so won't test it until tomorrow or Saturday, but fit and finish look very good.

Received mine today as well.

Ordered on the 3rd, delivered on the 6th.

Here are some pics.of my un-boxing.

I'm charging my controller and one battery as I type this :)

Square Wave Inverters, or Modified Sine Wave chop the top and bottom of the frequency wave off. Normally this only affects devices with crystal based timing circuits or some motors, will also play hob with a microwave. Pure sine wave produces the entire frequency wave form and if 50/60 Hz stabilized is the same as your utility power. A modified sine wave inverter should pose no problem with a power supply, where the problem arises is the cheap 'no tolerance' components used in some of the 'bargain' units, so stick with name brand, you will pay more, but you get a quality product. The very best way to power any of the smaller inverters is to pig-tail a 10/2 fused (30A) wire directly off of the battery to insure it gets full power. Most car wiring is not designed to handle much more than 15A max unless it is a dedicated circuit. I installed a 2500 watt inverter in my Motor home and man it can suck 2 6VDC golf cart batteries dry in 1 hour flat @ 1800 watts.

Nice solutions to charge everything, will purchase one when I get a 3rd battery. The only thing I am afraid from both: chargers and power inverter to charge in car is a LiPo fire. Not an EE or EOD specialist, but seems like a greater hazard?

You could use LiPo storage bags but I have confidence in the DJI battery technology.

The guys that I know who charge from their car battery do so outside the car. Seems like good sense to me.

Also, I'm not going to start a battery charge cycle and then abandon my battery for several hours on end. Just check your battery temps during and after they charge. Warm is OK, hot is not.

Gotcha, it is hard for me (newbie) to judge the risk, but easy to get scared. I ordered some $8 TBS LiPo bags, they seem reliable according to some people in the forum. I will also order a large LiPo Sack when I have more $, those are amazing.

Any updates? I ordered one from amazon for 60 shipped

I have been using mine weekly since it arrived. No problems at all.

I use a short length of surgical tubing to protect the ends of the charge leads if I'm not using all of them at the same time since all four leads (3 batteries +1 controller) are always "live" when the charger is plugged in.

My DJI charging hub arrived on Thursday, and I have been pushing is hard since. haha 3 batteries on it right now. Fairly compact - much smaller than I thought it would be. Still not sure it's worth $90 USD, but I'm sure I'll get over that soon enough.

Just received a new charger for the Phantom 3 series.....

Overall for $75 it's a solid buy and would recommend it to ANYONE that wants to charge more than one pack at a time.

Available @ Charger for DJI Phantom 3 charging 3 batteries and remote control at the same time

Is it still performing well for you? If you had to guess how many total charge cycles have you ran through this system?

What was shipping? I'm seriously thinking about getting one myself.

Holy Smokes that's a great deal!!!

Best I found was $55 on eBay. Thanks so much just ordered [emoji106][emoji106][emoji106].

I'm waiting for your review bout this hub. Is that worth for $90?

I just ordered mine and it should be here in a few days. Less than $60 (shipped). This has some serious potential to help me out. I've got a job to do in a week that will require me to recharge my batteries as quickly as possible so being able to do 3 at a time (in same time as 1x) will help me to stay on the job site until the shoot is done!! SWEET!!

Sorry, I forgot about this. Too be honest, the more I use it, the more it might be worth the $90. I like being able to drop 4 batteries on it at the end of the day and they will charge one by one without me every having to walk over and check on them. The majority of the time I'm not super worried about being able to charge 2 or 3 at the same time, but more not having to babysit and watch to plug the next one in when one is done. I have 3 on it right now from today, I believe the first one is done and it's on the second.

I also enjoy this when on a road trip - I built a cigarette lighter charger, and I have it set to only supply enough current for one battery at a time (don't really want to try to pull 12+A off the cig plugs in the car). So, I can stop at one location, fly around for one battery, put that battery on the charger before we drive away. At the second stop, once I'm done flying, I can put any batteries on the charger, and once the first one is done the charger starts the next and so on. I used to have to look in the back seat every 5 minutes or make my wife look back all the time and then switch batteries out. Now, no doubt all of the Chinese eBay/Bangood open circuit boards do the same, but this is all enclosed, contacts are hidden, and with nothing connected it's nice and sleek and safe (safer anyway).

Is it worth $90? I would saaaaaayyyy.. to me it is. I have spent far more on much less useful things. I'm happy with my purchase and I'm glad I have it. Some might say it's just extra money for looks, and I"m okay with that. i like my stuff to look nice and not like a kid at tech school built it in a class (which some of it does because I did). I painted my P3 black because it looks great. I put black CF reinforced props on and I think they looks nice. It depends on what you're looking for and if you're willing to spend $90 on a quality piece that looks great no matter the spot it's sitting on to charge.
