I am a complete ignoramus when it comes to gimbals but in the pics above there only appears to be one motor - how can this give 3 axis movement ?

there is another one behind the camera
Thanks :)
The lens in the new camera certainly looks a lot larger which will no doubt help. Interestingly the camera it is not in the white colour - I wonder if it is a bought in model from a specialist camera maker or just made in the metallic finish to match the motor(s).

It looks to me like us who already have a vision might be in luck and be able to upgrade the gimbal and camera. I just hope it's not to ridiculously priced...

Wow. Sorta tossing up wether to upgrade my gimbal or wait for the vision plus to be released. Something to think about.
And also anyone notice in the video the guy being chased by the quad... exactly what we're told not to do

Here is another photo. The bigger lens is pretty obvious so hopefully that means better image quality too.

I was thinking the same, looks like it should be upgradable :)

I wasn't able to get excited about the video quality from the onboard footage shown in the CNet video. It looked to me to have focus-related fuzziness and gimbal-related shake that couldn't possibly disappear with higher resolution. Hopefully I don't have a clue what I'm talking about and actual footage will be a lot better than what I was seeing.

This is indeed an important point for many of us and I'll be eagerly waiting for the reviews of it.

I'm in the market to go for a P2 + H3-3D + gopro black. Or the new vision!

If this will be upgradable you can sign me up. It also makes way more sense than investing $300 to $500 on a 2axis gimbal for the p2v when for probably not more than $650 you'll be able to get a combination upgraded camera with gimbal.

Now million dollar question other than will the current p2v be upgradable to this, is what type of WiFi antennas are built in (rhcp lhcp) and will it be easily upgradable like the p2v

Agree it does not look too good but then the overall quality of the video presentation did not look too good either so I think it is hard to say.

Happy I decided to return my Vision unopened when it arrived from DJI for a refund.
Way better deal to get the gimbal already on without any loss in flying time for very little more $.
If a upgrade kit will be available it will probably cost way more. :)

Which day will hopefully the big news be released at the NAB?

The suspense! :)

Any idea if we can upgrade our existing P2V with this gimbal/camera? (Even though I have a DE gimbal)

It's not even been officially released yet! Give it time :)

I know....but I just ordered a P2 + Hero3 + 3d from aerial media pros a few days ago as a 2nd bird to compliment my P2V ...so now not sure if I should cancel that order. If my P2V is upgradeable, I won't cancel the order.

Wait and see imo. Hopefully we'll have all the details within a few days.

Today's the last day I could return my vision. Not sure if I should. I have the tradecraft case , fpvlr antennas on the way.
Don't even know if the v+ would fit in the case.
May not even be available till summed.
Plus I'm a little concerned with dji products when they first come out. Always seem to be bugs with them.
If it's only the camera and gimbal I don't see where you couldn't upgrade it if needed it.
Decisions , decisions.

Wonder how hard its gonna be to modify the new camera. looks pretty well built so may be difficult to crack open.
But sounds like we won't find out till its released which i reckon we'll be lucky to get this year.
Personally i reckon a gimbal upgrade on the current vision will still rival the vision plus unless DJI has more up their sleeve
