Phantom 2/ Flysight Black Pearl Black Screen?

Hi everyone! Im beating my head on the desk on this one....
Let me describe my problem. I purchased a used Phantom 2 with the flysight black pearl monitor, Flysight TX5804 transmitter, matching tx/rx antennas etc to use with my go pro hero 3. When I turn everything on, I see the telemetry from the phantom (from the iOSD installed) but no video. GoPro is set to on (video). Am I missing something here or should I be looking at the h3-3d gimble cable on the zenmuse?

DJI Phantom 2
Zenmuse H3-3d gimble
Flysight transmitter
TX/RX round antennas
GoPro Hero 3
Flysight 7" Black Pearl Monitor

What firmware is on your gopro. From my understanding the update removed the video out on the usb.
