Out of the box and no video record function. Video will start to run for 10 seconds and stop. Red button control freezes as does the timing clock. Camera becomes hot to the touch. I get an audible "SD card failure, replace it". I replaced it with a San Disk 32GB Extreme Plus UHS-1 with speed up to 100MB/s. Did not fix it. Any suggestions....thanks.

Have you tried lower the video resolution?
I used a Class 10, UHS-1 card, and although I doesn't got a faliure notification, the 4K video was terrible laggy with hard jumps. I got good quality record with 2,7K resolution.
Tested my card, it can record with 18-20 MByte/sec, which is the double of required speed of UHS-1 standard. I will do my next try with UHS-3 card.
Strange for me, that P3SE manual advice to use U1 card, but for 4K video recording require U3
