No Live Feed...Possibility?

Excuse my ignorance ,but, can someone explain how the USB 2 is connected to the PC for flashing.
Is it a USB PLUG TO USB PLUG connection, or ?????.
Also suggestions of how to power the 12 volt to it?
Or is it USB to Serial Connector.
any help appreciated..........

You need a board that has USB to serial, they cost a couple of dollars/pounds

On your description ,is there a reason why the TX from the DJI board goes to the RX on the red board, and also the RX from the DJI board to the TX on the red board,
Is this the correct connection method?.
(I do have the same Serial Board as you described)

TX =transmit
RX = receive
So you TX from the board into the RX on the DJI board and the DJI sends on the TX to the RX on the board
It's like 2 people speaking, your mouth is TX and the ear of the other person is the RX and vice versa
Now that's how to put an explanation !!.
