Latest Controller Firmware?

I'm helping a friend get a Phantom 3 Pro up and running again, so I hopped over here from the MavicPilots site.

I'm struggling to confirm if the correct Controller firmware is installed or not. What is the latest version number for the controller?

We are getting no video feed using either DJI Go 3 or the Litchi app. We've tried restarting everything a few times. At one point we figured out the DJI Go app was dysfunctional because of a bad USB link to the phone. After swapping that cable, everything works, and we can tilt the camera, except there's no camera image on screen. I saw another thread here that suggested changing a hardware decoding setting, so we will look for that next too.

Welcome to the forum!

Firmware is last on the list to try for problems, it actually can cause more problems.

These forums are excellent as you probably know now.

We need some history

When did it last work?
Mobile Device ?

Status lights on the P3P?
Status lights on the remote?

We tried 2 different Samsung phones, 2 different Phantom 3 drones, 3 different USB cables.

The 2nd drone we tried had some gimbal issues but did show a camera video feed.

Back on the drone with no video, it's showing a solid green light on the camera frame, normal position lights with steady red in front and slow flash green on the back.

Controller shows one green light and four white lights.

So far we couldn't find the decoding setting that was mentioned on the forum.

Wow, two Phantom 3's? Both P3P?
Same Remote?

What can you do that works, start motors, fly it?

My memory is once the remote and bird are linked you don't need an mobile device.
The P3S, you can link without the mobile device.

If I post something on this forum that is not correct, other members will help.

I see some troubleshooting details:

 
I had the same similar problem It ended up being the usb port on the controller was bad. I got a new controller from ebay for $125bucks and problem solved I now have 3 Phantom 3 pro's. I repair and sell as fishing drones to drop bait. I use a iPad mini 4 with the Go app installed and have DJI latest software loaded on all my Phantoms and have no problems. I use the go app just to set them all up for flight. Their is no need to use the app to fly.
