New to P3...advice plz

Does the Gimbal/camera rotate through all its axis while motors are not running? im trying to move camera around but i can only tilt the head and not pan the body around. Thnaks

No it does not. When it's up flying, use the yaw stick to rotate the drone and therefore rotate the camera.

What exactly are you trying to do?

The Phantom cameras do not "pan". You would rotate the Phantom if you want to "pan".

Ok thanks, The gimbal swivels and the camera head moves a fair distance while its stationary, so i presumed it would do the same on stand by via the RC. Looking forward to interacting with you guys. Cheers.
