I see the windings on the motors, shouldn't they be sealed. im afraid stuff will get in there. is this a problem or do you just blow them out and fly?

That's the way they are supposed to be...keep debris out of them and fly! Have fun.

what I was asking is what if you crash and dirt gets in there? are the motors toast or do you blow them out?

I have been crashing mine into snow and dirt for the past 2 weeks and have seen no ill effects...new flyer. Anywho I do have a can of compressed air with me and so I blow the motor out if it does happen to have debris in it after the crash.
Also, replacement motors I think are about $20 and if you know how to solder it is a pretty simple process.
Also, if you own one of these...learn to solder.
