Hey guys, I just picked up a second hand original Phantom, and I couldn't love it more!
Unfortunately, this thing has had a pretty rough life (previous owner was pretty ham-fisted and seemed to crash it pretty regularly) and it's having an issue where one of the motors cuts out whenever you bank or rotate too quickly. It works fine under light or medium throttle, but if you try to move it too quickly (like when you're trying to avoid a tree), it cuts out and the whole thing comes crashing down.
I've checked the housing and motor for damage, but I don't see anything obvious. I'm assuming it's either the motor or the ESC, but I'm not sure if I should replace one at a time and risk further damage, or just replace both and keep my fingers crossed.
Either way, I'm hoping to do some filming on a trip next weekend, so I'm hoping to do this repair soon so I can make sure it works.
Thanks for any help!
