Micro SD card formatting? MUST I do it in the bird? 128gb works!

or can I do it on my Mac, after I download the information.
Sure would be easier to do in the Mac, vs. firing everything up!
And, I plugged a Sandisk 128 GB card into the P4 V 2.0 and it works! GREAT news!
I'll save the 64 for emergencies!

Why even format the memory card after transferring the data? Maybe just keep it simple and move the files off the memory card.

Just my DSLR habit of reformatting the card after every use. Never even thought of that!

I just reformat in my bird from app when I go fly again first thing after powering up. Habit
If I have anything I want I do put the card in Mac and save it but have never reformatted in
it. Again just habit .

Format in the drone or the computer.
It makes no difference. Format wherever is convenient.

Lots of flyers are attracted to using huge SD cards but it's not necessarily a good practice.
