Big question I've been wanting to ask. If you get certified and fly under 107 are you still allowed to fly under hobbyist rules when flying for fun? I guess my question is do I have to give up my leisurely nighttime flights as hobbyist if I become a bonafide commercial UAS pilot? Is it all or nothing or is it different rules for different circumstances? Common sense tells me you can indeed separate them but I want to hear from everyone. Thanks!

Yes. You can fly as hobby or pro. The intention of the flight matters as to the rules you fly under. However careless hobby flying could jeopardize your 107.
