Okay how about a different way, range over the stock antenna's. Just went out 2 miles in my stock antenna's over ocean, looking to ensure I keep signal when I push it further out. Still had 3 bars

Oh yeah, this antenna should not have any problem going over 2 miles above water.

Me too.. Can't wait to rip the old chopsticks off the RC. Just a bit nervous about the fine ribbon cables being so close to the knife!

What's the dbi from the stock antenna? also I have the windsurfer and it says it boosts the stock signal to 9dbi so how much better is this than that if they are both 9dbi? Anyone able to compare
