I am looking for thread, maybe late 2013 or sometime in 2014. The thread was a discussion about manually setting home coordinates. The flight controller was probably Naza M. As I recall it had something to do with disconnecting the battery during setup and injecting ones own cooridnates for home

I have searched several different way but can only this post

Fly to remote home point.
which has the first post of:
I pondered this scenario. Place Phantom in middle of open area at home. Install battery and set home point by starting motors and then stopping. Without removing battery drive down the road a couple of miles. Launch from that location with enough altitude to clear any obstacles on rout to home location. Turn off remote and watch phantom fly cross country and land in your yard. I figure I would be good for about 3 miles with my extended battery since I have flown as far away as 1.25 miles and back with plenty battery left.

To which someone responded:
About a year ago there was a good thread about this and yes it does work.

The "about a year" thread is what I am looking for.
