locking gimbal for transport

Is it necessary to somehow lock the gimbal in place when transporting the phantom? The gimbal seems very fragile to me and it would make sense to somehow lock it in place so that its better protected when its not being used.

Do you have access to a 3d printer? There is a clip on thingiverse thats more universal (clips to itself instead of the landing gear) http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:406396
