As of now (FB page) they are not sure if their App will work with the Phantom 4 Pro with built in screen

I fully agree, I use the Litchi App for 99% of my flying since most of my stuff is mission based. I'll stick to my iPad mini if the App won't run, I don't care how bright the screen is
Without Litchi it will be an step backwards, no autonomous flying except for the integrated DJI Go App intelligent flight modes.
I'm glad I ordered the standard controller, nothing wrong by using my iPad Mini 4 / iPhone 7Plus for DJI Go and Autopilot.
For what I understand one of the selling points of the built in monitor is resolution and brightness for when flying out in a sunny day. There is a setting in Android / iOS devices that disabled the automatic brightness of the display in sunny days.

The new screen has a max brightness around 1000nits. The iPad 3 Mini max is just over 500nits. So no amount of playing with settings will make it as bright. I ordered P4P+ yesterday (first drone ever) and I went with the integrated device (it's not just a screen) even though they may never open it up to 3rd party apps. My hope is that by controlling the hardware and software for flight control it will all be more stable. They won't be able (or even willing) to test the Go app with all the possible Android devices on the market, but they should be testing extensively with their own device as any problems can only be their fault.

If it can't use Litchi I won't buy it. I will be waiting awhile before I buy to see how this plays out. I am no longer the impulsive buyer that I used to be.

The Crystalsky display will also be available with a 7.85 inch screen. That should please the iPad Mini fans.
Plus one on this one. I just do not want to pay an extra $300 and won't be able to run my autonomous flying app, autopilot in this case.
Not to mention that the display is a fairly new unit on the market, with probably some bugs just like any other new product.
I don't know Litchi, but I thought that the DJI app with the new P4Pro can do waypoints, draw your route, so what is the specific need anymore for this 3rd party app? I'm considering buying also the Pro+, the 5,5in could be small [emoji30] but bright [emoji4]

You could wait for the 7.85 inch version to be released. It's compatible with all P4 remote controllers.
I am advanced, experienced Autopilot user, one of the many advantages of AP is that I can setup my mission before I even go to the site. Days in advance I can work on my mission at home and even run it to test it without even connecting to the Phantom. AP supports up to 99 waypoints with altitude changes, etc. Follow me in AP is awesome it basically uses the barometer in my iOS device for altitude changes. When I am on the road and I go up hill so does the Phantom, for what I know follow me mode in the DJI Go does not work this way.

I guess this one will be very expensive...there would be a need to get a new mounting arm and adapter to come with this new external screen for the RC

The Litchi app allows you to preplan your waypoint missions on your computer. You can set altitude, heading, speed and camera actions...much more thorough than drawing a line or having to actually fly a waypoint mission with the DJI Go app and save it.

Their has really not been any issues with devices effecting the hardware or software. Hopefully with the built in screen you will not be limited the DJI GO App
Litchi waypoints is vastly superior to DJI. Litchi can be pre planned on a pc at home, or on your device, and it then stores to the cloud and syncs with your device. DJI you have to fly the mission manually and drop waypoints as you go along,it is not very user friendly.
The Litchi points of interest and curved turns turns gives fantastic cinematic style videos.
If you are in to missions and video, then Litchi is a must.
Litchi will also complete a mission even if you lose signal.
Ditto, I think the Litchi App is far Superior. I used Litchi on all of these videos, I would never be able to do that with the G App

Litchi is awesome! Hopefully they will have P4Pro support soon. I created this mission in the comfort of my home office in Seattle (using mission hub), then flew it on-site on the north shore of Oahu, Hawaii.. (using a P3P)
Personally I think if you need something larger than an iPad Mini you need another set of eyeballs.
