I create this tread for pleasing here all tested - well work solutions to get jello free video.
Both DiY and online sellers.

Hope we get big range to choose from.
As soon as I get mine working I will share here

While we're waiting for the insulated gimbals, balancing blades is obviously a way to reduce vibration/jello.

I use one of these on my 600 with the gopro gimbal they sell and it works prett well.. How much ground clearance between the factory gopro mount and the ground is there currently ? This thing is 24mm tall.
When using the gimbal they offer it is 125mm - frame to the ground

18mm from bottom of DJI GoPro case and 90mm from bottom of Phantom body, based on my calipers.

I'm ready to buy that thing, but the holes don't come close to lining up with the Phantom mounting holes. If this forum can get some traction, maybe we can get vendors to send Adam stuff to check for fitment, then do group buys.

I am thinking of ways to spread the word about the forum. Don at DSLRPros should start telling all his Phantom buyers about it.

On the subject of the oil dampening GoPro mount, I'm actually really intrigued. Only $50, it might be worth a shot. Attach it to the bottom of the Phantom with a layer of dampening gel, sorbothane, etc. Could be a cool setup.

Also saw this on Infinity Hobby - GoPro mount that is suspended with rubber cables to reduce jello. Not bad for $24 USD but I'm not sure if it would be too big for the Phantom. I'll email them to find out the dimensions and report back.

Yes it looks good but we dont know how works with go pro which is lighter. It would be nice to see onboard video...

You think that price includes servos? Nice and cheap but it really sticks the camera far out in front of the Phantom. I do like the big rubber isolation system.

I'm going to have to start buying some of these and making test videos for you guys....

I'm not 100% sold on the idea of spending a bunch of money on a high dollar gimbal and slapping it under the Phantom. The craft clearly wasn't designed for this and the Naza controller is the weak point in gimbal stabilization.

Personally I'm going to let the gimbal market settle for a month before dropping any cash. Lots of prototypes in the works right now, and all we've seem so far is minimal footage. Let the dust settle, there are at least 5 gimbals in the works for this thing at various price points. The winner will be clear at some point soon.

Looking good. I had a nice mishap with a volleyball net the other day that looked similar.

I was wondering about the Sony Action cam. I'm not impressed with my GoPro3 White at all. It seems buggy and I can't get it to record more than a few minutes of video without freezing up. I've installed the firmware multiple times, and they are so swamped right now their tech support is really backed up. I may just have a bad one as I don't see too many complaints.

Either way, I have been looking at alternatives. Currently I've been impressed with wire rope isolation and looking at a method with that combined with a normal point and shoot or my Kodak ZX3.

I've been impressed with the Sony RX100, but it's a $650 camera. The $120 Sony WX50 has the same optical image stabilization and it will do 1080p but not 60fps.
