Hi All,
I have owned my P3A since 2016. I have the original three batteries I purchased with the bird. I always kept all batteries charged to proper levels (recharge when at about 30% - charge to about 75%). I have not updated any software in years and don't intend to. I fly it only about once or twice a year. Went to fly today using Litchi app. Battery was fully charged. I got two strange messages on screen. One instructed me to fully discharge and recharge the battery. I checked the voltages in all cells and all looked good so I flew anyway. While flying I got a message that the battery could not charge because of over heating. It was a leisurely flight with some minor wind. At that point I got nervous. I was at about 65% battery life and decided to bring it in. Anyone know why I got those messages? I have two other batteries so I suppose I could try them also.

Unusual for sure, think next you'll have to try out the other 2 batteries. The full discharge/recharge is to force a battery reset, not down to 0% but like 5%. More info is available on-line but it's for battery health.

Wow that is some record

Seeing as how they will auto discharge on their own after the set amount of time in the app, i'm puzzled why you dont just fully charge them and let the DJI software in the battery take them to storage level.

Golden rule of all the early bird series

Litchi app is good but i would like to have seen this error on the GO app as its the official app, not knocking Litchi mind but ive seen Litchi spit out errors on the odd occasion

That might be because of point 2 i mentioned

Yes do that but use the GO app please
