Hi all. Just got a phantom 3adv, and works great but with some range issues. Open terrain gets 6000-8000 feet, but near more condensed areas, only about 1500ft. I know that's normal but the interference issues have alot to do with traffic on channels 13-20. I heard about the 32 channel mod and I downloaded the config file for it.. followed installation directions, but when I open the app, the new channels are still not showing. (Yes I tried Manuel mode)...i used on a galaxy s7 and also a ZTE android phone n no luck..any suggestions? Does this mod still work?? Is it possible the config file I have is too old??

I doubt if the latest go app 3.1.23 supports 32 channels hack.

I checked it on DJI Go app 3.1.23 and the old 32 channel hack no more works.

Yes this hack was very useful. I see many signal interference warnings at the flying site which used to be absolutely nil earlier.

Which version of the DJI Go app should I use, how far back you think I should go? And if I do use an older version, will it have any effect on the Drone itself? I presume each app just as minor changes, UI, that sort of thing

Older DJI Go wont have a negative effect on the drone. At worst, if you go back far enough, you may loose a few features like follow me or panorama. I use 2.4.2, 2.4.3, and 2.9.1 with no issues. I can confirm the channel hack works on 2.4.2 and 2.4.3.

Thanks for the input I appreciate it! I've been reading a lot of posts that the mod doesn't work on a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge, regardless of what version of the app you have, have you heard of such a thing, I'm going to test it out later?

I can confirm that it works with the DJI GO version v3.1.11 (629_go3_official). I have used it on a Samsung Note 3 and a Samsung S8 plus successfully.

In v3.1.18 it did not work.

The old adage goes, “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” A piece of advice to DJI, “if it ain’t broke, don’t break it.” Same goes for the firmware update that turned 2 of my new batteries into useless paperweights.......
