iPad Mini needs an extender?

Hi - may have misread this forum thread (Tablets and phones that work well with DJI GO) but will my iPad mini fit the default device holder with the P3A or do I need to buy an extender?

It will fit without an extender since it's only 5.3" wide. The remote controller holder can hold a device up to 6.75" wide (including the case).

I have an iPad Mini 4 and it fits just fine with my P3P. I assume yours would do the same.
