Inspire Tablet Holder install

So, like everyone else, I was really unimpressed with the factory floppy mount that came with the P3 Standard RC.

So, I looked and read and looked and read. Ok, I thought, I need to do this BUT what components do I use?

Searched Ebay and Amazon and the prices and style were varied to say the least. I read the reviews some good and some not so good.

I decided to purchase the mount through Ebay for $12.00 (+5.00 shipping) and now 4 days later it's only $8.00 **** DJI Phantom 4 Drone - NEW Aluminum Mobile Device Phone Tablet Holder (Part 31) 3 30656508360 | eBay

I purchased the threaded nut insert from "Phantom Help" and amazingly the parts arrived within days of one another. Well worth the $7.61 for this part. This make the installation a bit more sturdy than the other method I was reading about and less work too. I'll get some white paint and make it blend into the RC soon.

This is literally a 5-10 minuted job (mind you I have all the tools and then some)

The mount is aluminum and when installed it is tight so this is 1000 times better than the factory floppy think that DJI supplied. Total investment $24.61 (now it's $4 cheaper, I feel like a sucker)

Yea I couldn't believe what a cheap POS it its.

Next on my list is to change the antenna's out to the ITELITE style.. Should make the drone a lot better.

I'm not in a real need for the 4K (have a mavic pro also) so these two upgrades will make this a much better drone in my opinion.

I bought the same type of holder and, hands-down, this is one of the best, most affordable, "mods" that you can do for a P3S. The stock holder might be ok for small phones, but a device with a screen of any size is just too much to handle. One of the best investments you could make.

One really nice thing about that new holder is it works equally well with phones or larger tablets. I'm using that type of holder with my new Huawei M3 mediapad and it's rock solid.

Yea, the reason, other than it’s strong, that I choose this one was that it can hold my iPad Air.
