Will probably crash immediately and my hobby be at an abrupt end.

For the most part correct. At least you won't be concerned with VLOS.

LOL They are a LONG WAYS from being a Toy.....these go faster then a Phantom drone ever will.....well over 100 mph..I have many of them...hey PM me and i will tell you more about them and YOUR RC plane....im a drone flyer and a RC plane flyer too.
