Hex screws on the Phantom

Hi all,

Just a question : are the hex screws in inches or metric ?

I got some tight and my allen key seem a bit loose in the screws.

They are horrible I swapped them all out for 2.5x6 and 3x8 screws from my local hobby store.
Used a drop of loctitie blue on each one. Oem screws are garbage!

I hope you don't end up regretting that decision to use lock tight. The Phantom's plastic doesn't like it at all.

I'm looking at swapping mine out for a better quality screw, thanks for the info. I was hoping to also replace my bearings. My only problem is one of my screws is stripped. I have a remover but I'm afraid to damage something that is flying perfectly right now. Decisions, Decisions. LOL!!!

Has anyone tried fingernail polish on screws. Kind of a poor mans lock tite.

I almost killed mine with a hex, but went out and bought a new torq set and the T9 worked perfectly.

It amazes me just how resourceful people can be. I would never have guessed.

You are just using it for lock tite........ right..... :shock:

Yes I'm using it for locktite. Works on scope mounts screws on rifles

Yeah nail varnish will work... I remember my university engineering lecturer being really excited when he found out it was the same chemical compound as loctite!

I didn't know that it was the same chemicals. I quess it eats plastic like locktite. I havent tried it. MY BAD

Ah yeah that's a good point I did read somewhere that loctite will eat the plastic.. Might be worth trying a test area first?
