Hey Guys, needing some advice on how to revive an old bird. I have a P3P that I flew about 10 yrs ago. For some reason the disk is missing. I guess my question is can I down load what ever version is out there now or do I need to try and locate one of the first versions and update it that way. Any help will be greatly appreciated. I guess it’s true “ if you don’t use it you loose it”

What is the disk?
Version of what?

What are using as a mobile device now?

Take a look at @msinger help site.

Sorry about that. It’s the micro disk. If I remember right you had to use it to install a .bin file. The revision was a very low number. Thing after a few revisions it got to the point that there were height limits then other limits so I just put it away. So I was using DJI app on an IPAD or IPHONE. I guess what I’m trying to ask is if I don’t have any .bin file to load what do I need to do to get it going again. I do remember that even with the limits that I assume came from the revisions . I could fly it without the DJI app but couldn’t enjoy the scenery as I live in the country and didn’t have to worry about any other aircraft.

Has to be Fleetwood Mac disc ha...it might not need update if it powers on ok so you wont get the dreaded restrictions. Yip need some app display so you know battery power and range etc , that way you also see what drone sees which is what it's for, you can still record to sd card but need the onscreen info.
Batterys good ?
Remote good all green lights ?
Does the p3p turn on and do the gimble boogie ok ?
Does you phone still have same app version working ? Does app conect with drone and have live view?
Remember if everything works as should and you want no further extras dont update it , seems a bit hit and miss nowdays
If you go to Rods link in 2nd post it has blue list on side ,at bottom it has some versions as shown in my screenshot picture
The DJI download store says can only do firmware upgrades with PC , I presume that's using Assistant 2 , myself cant work those things so cant say the process but everything downloaded through that.

If this is incorrect info dont be shy to correct it 👍

Thanks guys. About the micro disk, I failed to mention that it was missing. I guess I need one and just took it from the bird and never put it back. Once I powered it up I had solid red light on the remote and the bird. I had the red, green and white lights flashing. Had critical battery failure and stating it was the wrong battery. Had aircraft disconnected and everything needing updated. So after down loading the firmware, calibrated the gimble then linking the remote I got the proper lights and correct sounds with solid green lights on the bird and remote. Took it out for a short flight. All went good and was able to go over 600’ before I shut it down. It’s still stating that I need to update the batteries. Not sure why or how but that’s next on the list.

Thanks guys for the support and the links to get it done !!!!
