Guy posted a video flying his p3s under a large cargo aircraft that was escorting a blue angles jet in Florida on Pensacola Beach...... No wonder why we are being handcuffed with so many regulations.......

Jeez.....that sounds stupid beyond belief. Do you have a link to the video?

Sorry thought it was in the first post... it's just so wrong.....

Only problem I have with this is he didn't point the camera to see the planes pass over him. That would have been sick.

I be the first to admit I'm conservative with regard to UAS rules.

I don't see the issue here [either].

At the beach, seemingly below 400 ft, and some aircraft fly by.
Would it be different if it was a Piper Cub or banner-tow vs the BAs?

Maybe one could argue he's flying over a crowd, maybe.

Not only is this a No fly zone

There is a large international airport within a mile away, plus the whole area is a national park, and is a no fly zone.

Doesn't appear that was your concern based on your post title.
[Even though I'm from Florida], how am I supposed to know that?

Looks like there's more to the story and his video is a memorial. Honestly, I don't see a problem with that shot with the Jets because of the altitude difference, but as for the shot taken over the parking area with all of the cars and people, to me that's just not a place that I would even consider flying. Other then that it's a good memorial video

That seems to be the issue then. He was flying where he wasn't supposed to be in the first place. The aircraft passing overhead are largely incidental... I'm sure the FAA have seen this and are jumping on him if he broke the law.

look at app b4ufly it shows no fly zone

Thanks, but I don't use it and don't come here expecting to research post contents before I reply to them.

The guy is a click-baiter.

This is very very off topic but I have a question based on a couple comments I saw. How do people know what places are no fly zones and when a person is safe to fly?

I may have to withdraw my membership to this forum, no wonder why we have so many rules and regulations on our hobby.... lol

If I were a betting man I'd bet the operator gets a phone call, knock on the door, or a letter in the mail in the future. Just too many people seeing this and it's got to be violating several "regulations".

Since it's been stated this is very close to the airport and a NFZ how did he get around that with the DJI Go Ap?

I for one think it was grossly negligent but that's my 2-cents. With that being said I'm jealous like crazy because it's an awesome video of an AMAZING and touching story. May you rest in peace Captain Jeff Kuss. Thank you for your service to our country.

Your post was not about crowds, beaches, N Parks or NFZs.
You 'sensationalized' your post about the BAs. Click-baiting.

No one would likely visit your YT channels about crowds, beaches, Parks, and NFZs would they? (I wouldn't).

Who has drawn attention from the Feds by dropping beer cans?

Please don't leave... is that what you want to hear?
