I Have the Phantom 2 with the H3-3D v.1.0 gimble

Using GoPro Hero 3 Blk
The cable running from the GoPro to the LightBridge running the video signal.
Can I not change the video source to the gimble? The app will not let me make that selection?
Can I get video from the go pro with the connection port on the back of the cam from the gimble?
The 8 inch ribbon cable got damaged, I order one but it's the tiny on that hooks into the gimble, which I have not had, I think that works with the V.1.1 gimble.
Any light on this would be appreciated.
