H3-2D Not Working with GoPro Hero 4

Just finished the mod/video on this guys. Hope this helps some of you out. Pretty easy/cheap to do... only down side is the floppy USB DJI part but its not that bad and you can replace it very easily/cheaply if you ever break it.

Big thanks Dewey!! Just ordered 4 of these from B&H here in the states ($4.00 each). Been wanting to upgrade to a 4 but was disappointed that DJI did not have a work around for us H3-2D owners.

Here is the BH link for anyone interested.

Sorry you have all been having compatibility problems between the GP4 and H3-2D. If you can't resolve the issue, I recommend using the GoPro mini-USB port on the side, feeding the video directly to your FPV Tx. Rather than make your own cable, you can find pre-made cable for FPV in many places on the Internet. And a big plus is that using a direct feed you will have a much cleaner signal (no more white interference lines due to Zenmuse electronic noise). Here is the cable I like for my Phantoms:

And no, you don't have to worry about its weight throwing off the Zenmuse servo calibration, wires getting tangled, etc.

Good luck and happy skyways, Michael

What if you also have a mini iosd?

Perhaps those folks are using a 3D and not 2D gimbal. I haven't found anyone successful with a 2D gimbal.
I've had perfect flights with the GoPro 4 on the 2D. I recently upgraded to the H4-3D and my video looks fine but the gimbal is very shaky.
Check out a video for my problem.

Make sure your gimbal is not touching the battery on the inside of the quad. This will pass vibrations threw to the gimbal. They sell a spacer but I'm sure you could make your own.
