Gimbal lock block

Has anyone ever powered up and forgot to remove the Gimbal block whatever kind you use?

Yes, people have done this many times. It usually does not damage the gimbal -- unless you make a habit of doing it often.

I too have forgotten more often than I cared to. A couple of ideas to help:
Get in the habit of inspecting your Phantom as part of your preflight checklist. A proverbial head to toe inspection. If you miss it, your not inspecting it.
Second, and a great idea, attach a reminder as msinger suggested. Here my reminder. Can't put the prop on if I forget.

It is one of the free lanyards that you can pickup at any casino.
