Gimbal going offline in flight

During flight, the gimbal controls will go offline. The camera will not respond to commands, nor record. Just hangs there.

I can land, turn off the drone, restart, calibrate on level ground and get it back. Only to have it go offline in the air after about 10 minutes.

Also have landed, turned off the drone. Held down the c1, c2 and video on button until the remote beeps. This also resets the gimbal when the drone is turned back on.

Known issues or bad gimbal unit? Thoughts.

PS. This has happened in both hot weather and 55 degree weather.

Never ever seen this on a phantom. But my matrice 100 has done this twice. Dji replaced the x3. And the replacement did the exaxt same thing 8 miles away from the home point. It sucks!
