Frozen Motor?!?

So I'm the proud new owner of a Phantom. And on flight #2, it went sidewise on landing and a propeller plus the silver bushing it attaches too came off the motor. It slides back on, but just barely twitches when the unit powers up.

Help?!? I can't believe I grounded this thing on Day One. Any advice from seasoned veterans would be much appreciated.

You did lose the bearing clip for sure and welcome to everybody's first day flying a Phantom.

GET PROP GUARDS!!!!!!!

1. You may have knocked a bearing loose. You will need to inspect take the motor off the mount, inspect it and decide what the issue is. There are some videos on You Tube on how to replace/repair a bearing.

2. You may have damaged the motor beyond repair. It is not terribly difficult to replace the motor on a Phantom but you will need some soldering skills. The best thing to do is cut the existing wires and solder the new motor to the old wires. You can get a new motor here:

I had similar issue.

CAUSE of my downed Phantom:
The C-clamp holding one motor came loose and that brought down the Phantom!

I wanted to upgrade to Tiger Motors - the white ones anyways. Did that, but one motor at the same location on the Phantom was still not rotating all the time.

CAUSE: I just figured somehow the electronic info controlling the motor was fried. I replaced the corresponding ESC board to that motor and it worked fine afterwards. That was the ticket!

If you're going to keep the stock motors, then I would replace the C-clamps with better ones. The stock clamps are too weak and loose!
