Firmware update time

Just a couple of questions for those that have done it.

P3A

The manual (PDF) on the website is pretty poor and doesn't impress me much.

Do you ( assuming your on the pre latest firmware) update the controller through the app as it says, or did you plug the USB drive into the USB port, or did you connect the TX to the quads micro USB port on the camera

Did you encounter any issues with the process

Please only answer if you have done the update and don't post links to videos etc or other threads

I update my controller through the app.

Ended up with a flashing red light on the camera
... faulty SD card
