Hi Rickster565,

I find your posting with great interest. If I may, I would like to ask
a few (none android person) questions.

I have a FC40 and camera. But since the iOS has been changed
there has been no way to use it. If you can help answer some
specific questions it would be most helpful.

So my questions are as follows:

1) Other than the Android phone that you say will handle the Camera
app what tablet will be compatible??

2) What firmware version should I look for or upgrade to that would be
compatible with the FC40 Camera??

3) I assume that the Samsung 7S you have is a Galaxy, what is the minimum
amount of RAM required for good operation??

4) Is it necessary to have a phone service attached to the unit or will the function
of using the app and transferring video clips with out a service such as AT&T
or Verizon??

If my thoughts are right, depending on your answers I would pick up a used cheap
working Android phone or pad and then install the app and nothing more.
Is that practical or possible??

Again, I know nothing about the Android world. Nor do I want to know more than
I need to make this work.

My Samsung is a Galaxy S7 Edge 32-Ram....No you do not need a SIM Card / Phone Service. The download posted is all you need....works very well

So are you saying you installed the android app on the iPhone5 or you had the old iOS app and installed it on a iPhone5??

My iPhone5 died a couple of years ago so it won't help much. Presently on a 6.

Presently I have to get my head around picking up at co$t in the $80 to $120 range a good Samsung Galaxy.

No I had an old Iphone5 and used it you can pick them up cheap on Ebay its small but does the trick

Were you able to load the app for the Android onto your iPhone5??

But, then the next question is where did you get the app for the iPhone5??
Since as I understand the iOS or app store version is reported not available.

Yes that's the one it wont harm your device

In an effort to help others that may read this thread in the future I pose a
warning of sorts.

My investigation of this issue has told me the following.

1) An Android App will not load on a iOS unit.
2) There may be included with this Android App a version that will load on a iPhone 5s.
3) The specific website is questionable as for safety.
4) I am not going to risk the cost of a iPhone 5s just to see if it works. Not worth it!!

Needless to say those that are reading this need to make there own decisions.

I took the leap of faith it works 2 weeks ago the website did nothing to my iphone

Well I understand your thoughts but, luck or misfortune is applied differently in my world.
Such as a year ago I decided to sell off some gold bars I had for a few years because
the price was finally up at the time. I told my wife that if I sell this now the price will
go up, if I don't sell the price will go down. Let me just say that all those that are making
extra money right now should be sending me a small commission since now a 1oz of
gold is selling for about $250 more than when I sold my little bit.

I can site more true stories as to how my "leaps of faith" or luck goes against me.
However, I think you get the picture. ?

Again, unless something happens such as a iPhone 5s just shows up in my mailbox
I will just enjoy another day in my life.
