Imagine all the resulting boring 4K video of every AMA sanctioned flying field therafter.Set the drones free to record stunning aerial video of the world, instead of tethering them to AMA sanctioned flying fields! What a tragedy that would be!
The AMA is not trying in any way, shape, or form, to "tether" drones to AMA sanctioned fields. They don't even attempt to "tether" fixed wings to AMA sanctioned flying fields.
It is unfortunate that so many drone pilots misunderstand or are confused by what the AMA does, what they advocate, and what their philosophy and rules really are, especially when the information is so easily researched.
