Hi Darling (rottiegirl),
This is your loving husband signed in with a false ID.
What a lovely present you have lined up for me.Without sounding greedy all of the above will suffice,no need to spend to much.

The Phantom 3 Advanced has 2.7k Video and is really good, but the camera is "hard-wired" and can't be removed. The video on these cameras is better than the GoPro in my opinion because it doesn't create a fish-eye look to the video.

Hi from a fellow Brit..
One battery will not be enough, so get him an additional original DJI unit from the place you bought it. Should be around £120.
I'd recommend a hard case to carry it. I have this one which is excellent..
Waterproof Backpack Shoulder Bag Hard Shell Case For DJI Phantom 3 Quadcopter UK | eBay
Get him a lanyard for the radio control unit like this..
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Anbee-Lanyard-Shoulder-Phantom-Controller/dp/B01ITRI20U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1477517910&sr=8-1&keywords=dji+lanyard+phantom+3
I don't know what he will use to view the DJI App so he can set up and fly the aircraft - an iPad Air/mini, iPhone or another device, but he'll need something to connect the radio control to the device.
Just my thoughts.. except to he's very lucky and it'll be a great gift.

Thank you, I've ordered him the hard case already, I'll have a look at the lanyard, I've just ordered 2 spare batteries too. He'll be using his iPhone 7 plus and his iPad Air to run the remote,

He'll need one of these for the remote to hold the iPad.

This one is wide enough at the top to add some foam to grip and protect the iPad & to use it with a case.
