Experts Needed - Bought a crashed P4P Obsidian

I bought a crashed P4P. the gimbal is broke off, the frame is cracked, and one of the legs are broke off but there is no physical damage that i can see to the other internal parts. 1st question; Will the drone power on if there is no gimbal / camera and the legs attached? I can not get any lights \ sound to come out of the drone when i turn it on. I am just wanting to confirm that at least the internal electronics are not damaged so i can start buying parts. What is the easiest way to do this. Thanks in advance.

OK got it to make noise and one led is flashing connected to the app its throwing a compass error. Im assuming because the leg broke off. it is also throwing an esc error but i have the entire gimbal assemble dis-connected and the legs fully off. not sure what is built into the legs i think just antennas. Am i correct?

Anttennas and compass in legs,,esc beep could be damage motor mayby or depends if sat on prop not spinning and damage a board,,inside is 3 boards, left center and right and there some ribbon cables there you should check,if internal boards more past there shock limit one ecs cable will tear,,,I would take the shell apart and check all before going further so you not buying parts when not needed

Yep your best bet is to crack open the phantom and check ribbon cables and antenna wire connections.

You are correct I opened the case and found that one of the ribbon cables is broke. So I have another question I was told that this was an Obsidian 4 pro but I do not see the infrared sensors on the side and the sticker inside says WM330A. Did they make a obsidian model without side sensors?

Yip unsure on model myself,,my p4s has same wm330A, see where my p4 ripped cable,,same place same ribbon,,,I did order a ribbon set off amazon to think about starting repairs,,,,does your drone have front and rear obstical avoidence,,,pro have nothing on side like normal p4p

Lol broke in the same place. Did yor light and motor quit all except for one? I have two sensors on the front and some on the bottom only. I wish I k ew what model it is so I can buy the correct parts.

Similar mine did the free fall thing motor squashed on impact so that's shot and esc beeping cause ripped cable,,,I just have a check on something

I bougjt mine wrecked the guy put it in sport mode and ran it into a bird feeder pole

OK it's possible yours just a p4,,check that it's not painted by looking at the white scratches where black been scuffed,,,black shell should be black colour all through it,,if we can see white I think someone gave it some matt black paint,,obstical avoidence and vps on bottom sounds standed,,can you check if it has been painted--------------anyone with a obsedian p4 confirm this,,,Um,,I check back in soon,I on a mission with drone fishing,hopefully just the line goes in water not me drone

I think you are correct the inside of the shell is white. Glad I didnt pay alot for it.

Yeah mine pulled and snapped also. Starting the list now lol. Funny thing is this paint job looks factory. It has the right stickers on top an stickers on the inside with no overspray. Also the battery is black.

If look on ebay they have sets like this,,this just one example,,,if want black just paint but don't buy black shell,I'm not sure if they compatible with p4 internals

One other thing i have a battery that will not charge. when i plug it into the charger i get 1 light flashing for a couple of seconds then goes to a solid light. ios there a way to fix this or will i have to buy a new one?

Press and hold button for 5 second,,this is a batt test,,4 lights good 3 ok 2 tired 1 look for another
