You're lucky. But you do remember all the reports of craft falling out of the sky, right? And I'm sure you remember the throttling that took place in 1.6 firmware fix, slowing down acceleration after about half discharged, when the battery reached 3.6V. The risk also increased when a pilot would land, turn off the craft, then take of again with a battery half charged. The smarts of the battery wasn't smart enough to understand where the battery charge was at, and craft would fall out of the sky even though they still showed 30 or 40% left. You
had to know to NEVER land and turn off the craft at 50% and then start flying again with the same battery, regardless what the battery gauge said. You could never start with less than 100% and feel safe. These problems don't exist today on newer craft, but they did with P3P. Ah, the good ole days.
