Does this board serve any purpose other then power distribution? It has several chips in it which makes me think there may be another purpose as well.

Exactly two other purposes.

1. Voltage regulation to power the NAZA at 5v (the NAZA does not run on 3S 12v).

2. Reporting of unregulated voltage to the NAZA for the low voltage alarm feature.

If you get a PMU-V2, you can literally carve out the section of the board with the chips on it (I've done this on one of my older spare boards).

I am trying to power a naze32 off of the stock phantom pdb. Where is this 5v regulator you speak of?
