Guess you've updated to all the latest FWs? If I'd try that.I got a P3P refurb and was quite happy UNTIL I realized that there are some problems that require DJI support :-(
1. Even with more than 10 satellites in an open field, the hover is very unsteady. Even worse, if you try to keep it steady at 10 feet off the ground it will slowly inch down to just a few inches above ground.
2. Vibration and noise are problematic. It doesn't sound consistent, sometimes it's louder and sometimes it's quieter. Also the bird vibrates quite badly.
I've recalibrate the IMU and compass a few times to no avail.
Not too happy about having to get support on a new (to me) drone. I just got it less than a month ago. I've emailed DJI Support but don't have great expectations on how quickly they'll respond.
HelloThanks for the tip. This is probably a dumb question but doesn't it notify you if a newer firmware is available? I did not see indications that a new firmware was available in DJI GO. I will check manually when I get home for sure though.![]()
to those who have gotten one or ordered, can you let us know what motors come, and what model on the RC?

I am really torn on this and would love some feedback. I am torn between a Mavic or this P3P for such an awesome price. I don't want my P3S any longer due to the range. I enjoy the P3 platform so I know I would be happy with the P3P. My case and batteries will swap over. I love the size of the Mavic but for my photography the camera isn't much different. I am just not sure I can stomach the price tag on the Mavic. Anything else I am forgetting here?
Received mine a few days ago, from the dronenerds ebay store. I'm new to DJI but not model aviation. It appeared as new (with the new style motors), and I had no trouble flying the craft and taking some test video. I was pleased to find it came with a 16GB card installed, although I didn't see it as included in the listing. After that, I sat down and did some reading here and elsewhere to find the optimal firmware. The DJI Go app said I had the following versions:
App 3.1.5
Version 1.5.30+
Remote 1.8.0
I tried a few FW updates, as far as the most recent available on DJI's site (01.10.0090), but it kept failing. Then I read about the FW update log that was in a hidden folder on the SD card... I don't usually leave hidden files and folders turned on to avoid clutter, so never saw it until I was informed to look. These are the last few lines shown below, after my attempts to change the firmware. Unless I am misinterpreting the log, it appears the FW installed on mine is 1.11.0010. Which exists virtually nowhere. The timestamps are also wacky.
Can anyone shed some light on this?

I know what you mean.. Mine took so darn long to accept a charge when I first got it that I thought the controller was broken (wold only blink one light for over an hour)... Leave it plugged up for a long time.. It will eventually charge up..Got mine this morning, looks like brand new, now just have to figure out how to do the setup. Going to be a long time before setup though, controller would not power on and only has one light blinking, so will have to wait likely several hours for an adequate charge.
