Hi All just got a phantom4 and could use the dji go app with an alcatel C9 smartphone to connect to the drone. all working fine.

now tried using a xiaomi mi5 one usb c otg cable cannot connect to the drone. login on the mi5 was ok
anyone can help or suggest what might be wrong.
at the moment back to using the alcatel. (lower memory cpu lower screen resolution etc.. but works)
thks

I just bought a P4 as well to use with my MI3. Even after making sure your USB connection is set for download data (NOT charging), my MI3 would not work. It also has to do with what apps you have in your Phone. Several will effect the DJI go app even if they are not open.
I just bought a Sheild K1 to use and my problems are over. It is dedicated only to use with my P4. I suggest you invest in a Sheild.

thks the drone already works with the alcatel c9 and that is currently what i m using. the xiaomi mi5 is newer and if can,be,used would be much much better.

so i m hoping that some pilot here, have crack this problem n found out how to use the go app, with xiaomi. and if pls share the solution. settings etc..

It's unlikely that the DJI Go app would work with a Xiaomi drone.

Mainly because Xiaomi is a phone, only Johnny Depp has a flying phone says Amber Heard - seems she turns out to be a much better actor than I ever gave here credit for too :D

actually the DJI website states the MI3 is tested and working with the P4. It does not. Little chance the MI5 will work. Frankly the MI5 doesn't much work as a phone either. I was set to upgrade to the MI5, glad I waited and instead bought the Hauwei Honor 8. BIG difference in function!
Xiaomi is not jumping any hoops to fix the thousands of MI5 customers that have a range of issues with the MI5. They have thrown their customers under the bus and busy instead selling drones, smart rice cookers, lights, TV's, routers, etc. They are no longer a specialty phone maker and MIUI support is about dead. Xiaomi stores all across China are closing now.

Good for you. I had all these settings set in my MI3, but still no joy, so I bought a Sheild K1 which works great and I get a decent screen size anyway.

part one.. this is how i manage to get the go app on xiaomi to connect to the phantom4.

phone xiaomii note 4 miui 8

enable developer mode than turn on debug usb

than install only 1 dji go ..

or just litchi

if you need both , add second space than install one of the app on second space.

remember , only 1 , just dji go or just dji go 4 or just litchi
