DJI Assistant Question on downloading

I have a IPad mini 4 and have downloaded the latest software for the DJI assistant to my briefcase but I do not know how to install the program to my IPad? I know it's a silly question but I have tried everything and cannot get it installed.

Pretty sure you can only load the assistant tool on either a PC or a Mac device.

It cannot be installed on an iPad.

So it can be installed on my Mac home computer and not the mini. That makes it much harder to plug in the drone. I guess a long cable will be needed? Still continuing to learn Apple. Thanks!
