I have a friend who has a P4 he got passed down from a family member. It has no decals etc. Is there a way to use the serial # to determine exactly what model and VERSION it is?
There are no stickers with the model number inside the battery compartment?.... usually the model number is printed there with the serial number.I have a friend who has a P4 he got passed down from a family member. Excellent. I'm going to copy and paste this into an email to him so maybe this is enough to get him going in the right direction. There are no stickers with the model number inside the battery compartment?.... usually the model number is printed there with the serial number.
Barring that its pretty easy to figure out. The only V2 models are Phantom 4 Pro V2 and came with the GL300L remote or the GL300K remote with built in screen. The remote model number is on the back of the controller. V2 Phantoms also say DJI in gold letters on top
All other Phantoms are V1 , say DJI in silver letters on top and have downward sensors. Additionally:
Phantom 4 Pro models have sensors on all four sides
Phantom 4 Advanced has front and rear sensors.
Phantom 4 only has front sensors.
There are a couple of other ways to tell the difference.... but start with these. The easiest is to find the model inside the battery compartment
