Here is a time lapse video of me installing the DBS MODS ITELITE Antenna Mod on my P3P Transmitter. Installation time took ~40mins going slow and making sure I didn't damage anything inside the transmitter. Installation was fairly straightforward and easy to complete.

Considerable increase in performance? I fear making the modification since I'm not sure I can do it lol

I have only had a chance to make one short flight with it, and I am headed out of town for work now. I won't be able to properly test it until Wednesday, but I will definitely post my results on here as there have been so many mixed results with this product.

I really don't understand the total waste of time and money on this mod when you can get 5km range out of two pieces of cardboard, glue, and aluminium paper?

Either people are sceptical to try the aluminium foil trick. Or this can deliver better range?

(I doubt one can go much more than 6km out without a battery mod?)

Those two ugly things did that? Why are you guys spending money on that mod?

What am I missing?

I think what you are missing is that most people who spend $1,300 on a piece of equipment don't want to ghetto rig it, and would rather it look clean.

I went 4,848 meters (15,908 feet or 3 miles) on stock equipment and landed with 31% battery left. I never lost RC or video signal.

I got to 14000 ft before I turned around. Landed with 35% battery left so next time I'll push it to the 3 mile mark. Don't think I'll try any further then that. 14000 ft was scary enough. I want my baby over my head at 20%.

When you say you did this with stock, 4800m, were you not even using rabbit ears? I.e. Really plain stock?

In the right conditions the stock system will reach 4.6 miles range. So doing FPV long range over water is not an accurate test of any system.

While these cute little windsurfer trinkets are cheap they don't have the penetration provided by the DBS mods and FPVLR systems.

Its not about range its about a rock solid connection with good penetration. And the Cardboard-System is a joke, compared to DBS.

VERY pleased with my new DBS.........Super simple install . serious increase in Signal strengths...........I am not really interested in long range as much as obstacles and keeping a solid connection. Highly recommend
