ITELITE DBS P3P Flight Range Extender Antenna

I purchased the ITELITE DBS range extender antenna from my P3P. The video tutorial (

) includes HDMI board install. What is the function of the HDMI board shown in the video? Will the range extender kit work without installing a new board?

The HDMI board has nothing to do with the mod to the RC to connect the antenna. Since you have to access the board to do the mod, the OP chose to kill two birds with one stone.

Thanks. Is the Itelite antenna uni- or omnidirectional?

Is the Itelite antenna uni- or omnidirectional? Also, can I simply install it on my original P3P controller or do I need upgrades and if so, whiat are they?

It is unidirectional.
All these antennas require you to mod the the RC to remove the antennas and replace them with connections for the cables to the new antenna. Here is a video of the mod for an ArgTek, but the Itelite would be the same.
