Well it finally happened I managed to crash my phantom 3 standard just wondering if you guys have a detailed diagram of where this grey and black wire might go? Plug is pretty obvious, I was lucky to find it in the rocks.

Hopefully the connectors are still on the ends of the black and red wires. Lift up and remove the small cover in the upper left corner and lower right corners. You'll see a connection terminal under each cover. Based on your photo above, the gray wire connects under the upper left cover, and the black wire connects under the lower right cover. Make sure the wire connectors are on securely.

One thing I'll add. As long as the gimbal is loose, one thing you should check is the silver anti-vibration "frame" that's screwed to the belly of the Phantom for any cracks or breaks. It's better to check it now and replace it if needed than to reassemble everything and realize later that you have to disassemble everything again.

The best I can see is those cables are missing the snaps or whatever you call them and those cables go to the antenna panels in the sides of the shell .Has been awhile since I modded the Standard I had but is a little work to replace them .If you go that route .
Knowing what I know now I would replace those 2.4's with 2 dipoles if the snaps are gone .
There are several threads on it way back when we were modding the bird sides in this section .

That's kind of what it looked like but I wasn't sure. That would make sense, although the connectors could still be attached to terminals under the covers and he might be able to reuse them. Otherwise, replacing them with dipoles as you suggested makes a lot of sense.

Yeah they click off but you have to be bad careful . As far as soldering those cables I don't know about that as I can't solder worth a flip . Sure someone could .

You need to use the search in my signature on soldering those cables Vzr1.
Type in the middle not the top on soldering those cables as they are coax and
It's more to it then just soldering . Might be wrong but was just searching and there are lots of old threads on it .I just took mine out as I went full bird sides on mine .
Was looking and found this old photo of mine with the dipoles I had forgot about and it would go long . Had the 5.8's down there . Anyway good luck .

If I was going to try and solder I wouldn't do it with it still clipped on the board .

Yeah just discovered the coax....doh I just cut it and re clamped it wasn’t to much to cut off.....Is there 4 rubber shocks and only two pins diaganols? With the round parts that hold them in place?

Be back it a second, going to fire it up fingers crossed lol
