When the lights go off on the initial charge do you take it off charge? Says 2.5 hours but it seemed to charge quicker.

I guess you're referring to the remote controller? Yes, you can remove it from the charger when the lights go off.

DJI has built some pretty good smarts into there batteries and charging systems. The flight batteries have the own micro controller that monitors the individual cell voltage, battery current and temperature and some other things and it is the battery itself the controls charging. So, when the battery is connected to the charger for charging the battery wakes up and allows current to flow into the battery. When the battery gets near the full charge state the charge rate slows and the controller does what it needs to to equalize the cell voltage of all cells so they are balanced. Similarly, when discharging, when the battery gets down to the low cutoff point the battery itself shuts itself down to prevent over discharge. To get the most out a a battery you need those kinds of smarts.

The battery inside the RC will have a similar controller to manage charging and discharging to maximize the life of the battery.

Not sure where Samsung went wrong but whatever they did with the Note7 didn't work very well.

Thanks Brian. Charged and ready I guess there was some factory charge in the batteries.
