Can I retrieve logs from iPad with no service?

I sort of commandeered my wife's iPad when I got the P3A. At the time, she was all hooked up because she had an iPhone too. Since, she's discontinued that service and switched phones. The iPad works fine for flying and photos and stuff, but I notice I can't watch my flights back on a map background and as far as I can tell, the only way to retrieve flight logs is through iTunes.

On my Android phone, I can get the flight logs directly off the phone with a USB cable. Is there a way to do that with the iPad?

I prefer the iPad because it's a much larger screen than the phone.

Any ideas?

Thanks

No. You must use iTunes.

What kind of service are you referring to?

Well, don't I have to go to the cell phone store and sign up... just like a phone?

No. You can install iTunes on a Windows/Mac computer and connect the iPad to the computer to run iTunes and access the flight log files.

USB cable? Really? Cool. Never used iTunes before. I just manage my music in a file manager.
I will try that.
Thanks!!

If needed, you can find instructions here.
