Best P4 still camera settings?

Anyone have some go to camera still settings (not after settings for video)?
Manual mode, D-LOG, RAW - after the best settings for post..
ISO 100?
Mostly used in sunny conditions..

There are no magic one-size-fits-all settings because there are so many different subjects and lighting situations.
If you don't know enough about camera settings, it's probably best to use auto which will give you reasonable results most of the time.

The advantage to shooting RAW is that you can change the exposure settings in any RAW editor after the image is done.

For the very best pictures RAW is the way to go - pixel depth is limited to 24 bits on a jpeg. Also - set your ISO to the lowest possible setting - 100 if possible.

what about sharpening, contrast and saturation settings?
if you shoot in RAW, do the above even make a difference?

You can get a lot more from a RAW file in post but it will not allow you to correct gross errors in exposure as the above response appears to suggest. You are correct that the presets only effect the jog embedded in the RAW for preview.

The primary benefit for shooting RAW is that there is no compression as you have with JPEG. The camera stores and saves ALL the image file info, which allows you to do more detailed edits with white balance and other settings. Plus, RAW file edits are non-destructive and a better format for converting to Tiff images.

I always recommend shooting RAW.

Although Raw is widely regarded as "best", you can still get quite good results shooting jpg.
Experiment with Raw to see what the benefits might be.
But for most people, most of the time ordinary jpg photos are just fine.
Raw doesn't work for my kind of photography but I don't think I'm missing out.
Look at my gallery to get an idea of what can be achieved with jpg files.

I have to admit, even the Jpegs on my P4P are remarkably better than those from my P3A. A fantastic camera with great potential.

you can't go wrong with art -2 -3 -2 and white balance set to custom 5600.
