I don't know why the update would cause the FPV to fail.

The FC200 has everything within the egg. That includes the FPV transmitter.

Is it possible the Mod is bad or one of the boards, I am a novice with this?

You can get a replacement FC200 on ebay for around 150 American (refurbished) - just don't use IOS DJI Vision App 1.060 or it will brick that one as well - as far as I know DJI VIsion App is available in version 1.061 for android - haven't seen the 1061 for IOS yet. Its the FPV transmitter in them that gets corrupt memory. No software fix - its a fix that can only be done by advanced electronic people that understand the issue. I sent mine away to get fixed - will let you know if it works - probably get it back in a month.

Thanks to all that replied. I ended up sending it in to DJI for the repair. They replied saying it will be covered under warranty. They said it would take 3 - 6 days.
