Anyone's Ipad Mini Retina heats up during P2V+ flights

Was out flying for about 20 minutes on a 82F day when the Ipad Mini shut down due to high temperatures. I'm new to Ipads and Phantoms and was wondering if this is normal?

I live in Florida and run mine in the sun all the time never overheated it

My iPad mini Retina heats up when I use it with my PV2+. Never enough to shut itself off though. I do close all other unnecessary apps.
