Any new ideas to fix horizon tilt drift or do I just have to send this in for repair ?
I’ve looked at the threads
– yes its in follow mode
- yes I’ve calibrated the gimbal on a level surface
(actually – horizon typically starts out pretty level to begin flight,
then drifts around (regardless of A/C yaw, or crabbing).
- Yes – also calibrated the IMU
- No - not crashed – almost new P3P ( traded in my P3A – starting to regret this move).
Film clip below – initially horizon not too bad, about 6 seconds in it’s getting awful,
at 11 seconds I adjust the gimbal role in the Go App (feature I just learned about) – then it’s lasts for a second or two and starts to wobble like a drunken sailor.
SO –
1)Anybody found a home fix or to I just have to bite the bullet and send it in for repair?
2) Anybody highly recommend where to send for repair?
As I am thinking how level my P3A was – I am also remembering that it took me a long time to make it level. Gimbal cals – fiddling with the cables – found a couple issues – not sure what really fixed it. Here’s a clip of the P3A before I managed to fix it’s issues. Is this something that has a wear in mode – gets better over time? I obviously just do not want to have to ship my current phantom in for repair.
