Anfield, home of Liverpool Football Club. The club's owners have invested in creating a new stand for the stadium increasing the capacity by 8,500 to an overall capacity of 54,000.
The first phase was to create the new stand while the season was still ongoing, building to the rear and over the existing stand. Once the season ended a couple of weeks ago they started to demolish the existing stand to build the rest of the stand.
Here is a picture I took while the season was ongoing in September. As you can see the skeleton structure was starting to be installed and you can also see the first block of stairs for the new upper tier.
The next picture was taken last week after the end of the season. Restrictions couldn't allow me to get a good view except from the rear. You can see the stand now starting to take shape.
